My family LOVES tacos. Plain, simple tacos. And with six kids, many nights I just need something easy. So we literally have tacos once a week. Today’s recipe is the taco seasoning I use instead of buying it at the store. It’s so easy to make with ingredients you have on hand.
1 1/2 TBSP Chili Powder
1 TBSP Cumin
1 TBSP Paprika
1 TBSP Garlic Powder
1 TBSP Onion Powder
1 TBSP Oregano
1 TBSP Salt
1/2 TBSP Pepper
1/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper
Simply pour all into a glass container and mix well. Then I use 1 TBSP per 1 pound of ground beef.
This is also great with shredded chicken. I sauté my shredded chicken with
1-2 TBSP olive oil( estimate only – I just pour in what I think I need)
1 TBSP apple cider vinegar
2-3 TBSP of this taco seasoning(for about 3 C cooked shredded chicken)
the juice of 1 lime
a handful of chopped cilantro.
Put into a tortilla with rice, tomatoes, avocado, salsa, black beans, cheese, or add it to your salad. Super tasty!
I hope you have a wonderful day! And remember…
Life is Good. Share the Good.
