Family, Wednesday Stories

Lessons from my little break

The prophet of the church I belong to, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, recently asked all the sister members to take a 10 day fast from social media.  At first, I was surprised at how frequently I reached for my phone to look at stats, post something to help draw attention to my blog or IG account.  But after a few days, I began to see that the time I spent checking, updating, reading other’s blogs/IG posts took up more time than I actually want to devote to this “hobby” of mine.

So, today I don’t have a new Wednesday story, but I want to share the first one I ever shared.  It was by my friend Angelina entitled We are always guided.  I loved this amazing story she shares of her daughter.  I hope if you have joined me after a first shared this, that you will enjoy reading it.

I have also decided that I will only blog MWF on the first and third weeks of each month.  I decided that my house and my family need more of my time and attention.  I am still very excited to share some upcoming wonderful Wednesday stories.  And I of course still love to cook food, mostly treats, so will still be sharing those on Fridays.  And Monday’s will still be my thoughts about things I am experiencing with raising my family.

It really fills my heart with tremendous joy when someone reaches out to me and lets me know that these stories I share touched their heart.  My goal with doing this blog is to share goodness and bring joy and hope.  So thank you for reading, liking, and sharing this journey with me!

Life is Good.  Share the Good.

PS We have officially not had any barfing children for 4 days!  Yay!
