I belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Twice a year we have what’s called General Conference. Our entire world-wide church listens to the prophet, who is President Russel M. Nelson, and the apostles and other auxiliary leaders speak from the voice of the Savior, Jesus Christ, the words He would have us hear.
M. Russell Ballard spoke this past Saturday afternoon. One phrase he said really stuck out to me, “Heavenly Father loves you. Do you know?” Do we REALLY KNOW that Heavenly Father loves US. Imperfect, sometimes crazy, tired, cranky, us? He does. I know He does. And we have to keep saying that to ourselves every day. Multiple times a day sometimes. We are not perfect. He knows that. He also knows that it is IMPOSSIBLE to become such here on earth.
In order to progress and develop ourselves into the amazing people Heavenly Father already knows we are, we have to trust Him and His words. All of them. Especially the words where He tells us He LOVES us. He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, for us. And Jesus Christ lived and died for US! Heavenly Father sent His Son to Earth, allowed Him to suffered every possible hurt and pain so that He could be our ultimate comforter for us through whatever challenge comes in this life.
Do we let Heavenly Father send us comfort through Jesus Christ? Do we believe Him when He says He loves us? Sometimes we don’t. How do we get to the place where we let those words I LOVE YOU sink deep into our hearts and souls? We must pray. And pray. And Pray some more. We need to Ask Him. He will tell us. Then hold tight to that feeling. When Satan tries to get into our head, bring back those feelings of love.
YOU are LOVED. SO. MUCH.
So, do me a favor, and say this out loud:
I.AM.LOVED.SO. MUCH.
I. AM. IMPORTANT.
I.AM.AMAZING.
Repeat this every day. You will start to notice a difference in yourself. In your ability to handle the challenges set before you. You will be stronger. You will be filled with more love for others.
I have had this song by Lauren Daigle called You Say in my mind over and over. And then my oldest daughter comes home one day from voice lessons, and is learning that song. So, now I get to listen to her amazing voice sing this to me all day. I love it. If you haven’t heard it yet, check it out.
I hope this week you will feel LOVED. That you will allow yourself to FEEL LOVED by your Heavenly Father. I know that for me I have days that I struggle so much with this, and it affects my family because I allow myself to be consumed with these thoughts. So I am going to make an especially great effort this week to let myself feel loved, and in turn help my family to feel Heavenly Father’s love for them.
Life is Good. Share the Good.
