A Hope Filled Life

With this beautiful Easter weekend I have been pondering Hope. Hope is what gets us through when hard times come. Hope is the reason we can get out of bed some days. Hope renews our souls.

I have been loving Don’t Miss This by Emily Belle Freeman and David Butler for studying Come Follow Me with my family. The perspectives they share are so uplifiting! Their insights are such that inspire me to search my scriptures more diligently for those hidden gems of hope.

For Easter week, they had a video you could watch each day and a symbol of what they were talking about. On Day 6, they were talking about Jesus’ disciple, Thomas. I was truly touched by the perspective they shared of how Thomas had to have HOPE while he waited for that miracle he desired, which was to see the Resurrected Savior as the other disciples had.

One thing that struck me when David was sharing a touching story of his friend, was that Heavenly Father will always give us something better, even if what we prayed for exactly doesn’t come to pass, there will be something amazing waiting for us in the future.

I hope that if you can spare 10 minutes, that you will watch this video clip. I know my life was blessed by seeing the HOPE in Thomas’s story. They also share about the beautiful white lily flower. It is also named the white robed apostles of hope. These lilies were found growing in the Garden of Gethsemane.

I’ve always loved the scriptures in Matthew 6:28-32 about the Lilies of the field. “..Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin…if God so clothe the grass of the field, … shall he not much more clothe you…for your Heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.”

We are ever watched over. Our Father in Heaven will bless us with more amazing things than we can imagine if we just keep the HOPE and keep on the covenant path.

Life is Good. Share the Good.
