Strawberry Brownie Delight

This is one of my favorite recipes to take to a party, bridal or baby shower, or even for a funeral luncheon. It’s so pretty and so very easy. It’s not a new recipe, but in my book, strawberries and brownies were a match made in heaven. Add some cream, vanilla pudding, and sweetened and condensed milk, and you have a powerhouse dessert!

1 pkg Betty Crocker Fudge brownie mix

1 can sweetened and condensed milk

1/2 C water

1 (4 oz) pkg vanilla instant pudding

1 pt whipped cream

sliced fresh strawberries

chocolate bar shavings for garnish

Make fudge brownies according to directions. Let cool completely.

Whip 1 pint of whipping cream with 1 1/2 TBSP sugar until stiff peaks form. Set aside

In a medium bowl, mix sweetened and condensed milk, water and vanilla pudding mixture with electric mixer for 2 minutes. Place in refrigerator for 10 minutes.

Gently fold whipping cream into pudding mixture.

Spread mixture onto cooled brownies. I don’t usually use the whole mixture, just until it looks right.

Put brownies in refrigerator for 1-2 hours before placing sliced strawberries on top. Then garnish with shavings from a chocolate bar.

And if you are rushed for time, and the last time you went to Costco and you couldn’t help yourself and bought some of these babies because they were buy one get one free…

Just place some on a platter with a dollup of pudding mixture, a couple slices of strawberries and wa-la! You just made a “fancy-looking” dessert.

I hope that you have a wonderful weekend with your family!
