I am very grateful for the opportunity to live in this country, to have a family, to have a home, to have so much access to good food and clean water. I am blessed.
Today my second child is 16! My how time flies. I am grateful for him and his good soul. This amazing son of mine had a scary entrance to this world-scary for me and my husband. You can read all about it in an earlier post here…

With this week being the week of the 4th of July, I always tend to reflect on my blessings for living in this country and in this time where we have access to so much technology and medical breakthroughs. I am extremely grateful for those service men and women who sacrifice so much for me and my family to pretty much live carefree lives.
If you missed this next story by my friend Nicole, you might want to check it out. Her husband serves our country and spends so much time away from his family so that we can be safely with ours. I hope that you will all take time this week to reach out to those who serve.

And if you need an idea of how to surprise a neighbor, friend, or family that serves, check out this idea that my daughter Lydia and I did last summer-pillowcases! It was so easy and fun!

I hope that you have a wonderful week. Write a few extra words of gratitude in your journal this week. We have so much to be grateful for!
